Effective January 2025, Dr. K. Prasad joins CITAGLOBAL BERHAD as the Group Chief Strategy Officer, bringing over 30 years of global leadership experience in telecommunications, IT, and business transformation. In this pivotal role, he will be responsible for driving corporate growth, accelerating digital innovation, and advancing sustainable development, positioning CITAGLOBAL as a leading conglomerate in green technology, infrastructure, and digital solutions. His expertise in mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and cross-border expansion will be instrumental in shaping the company’s long-term vision and market leadership.

Prior to this, Dr. K. Prasad served as the Chief Operating Officer of SACOFA Sdn. Bhd., where he led Sarawak’s digital infrastructure expansion, overseeing fiber optic deployments, 5G rollout, and enterprise connectivity solutions. His leadership extended across multiple subsidiaries in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei, ensuring seamless network operations, business growth, and regulatory alignment. He has also held key executive positions in both domestic and international markets, where he successfully led large-scale projects, global service delivery, network transformation, and operational excellence initiatives.

Academically, Dr. K. Prasad holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Wawasan Open University, Malaysia, an MBA from PGSM, France, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology, Malaysia. He is a Registered Telecom & Broadcasting Technologist (MBOT) and has played a key role in shaping industry best practices and policy development.
